ANCÓN PROYECT ADMINISTRATION
IN CHARGE OF THE ¨ESCUELA SUPERIOR POLITÉCNICA DEL LITORAL¨

The Ancón project leaded the Ing. Luis Albán was firstly done by the ESPOL in 1978-19789, by the Geology, minas and petroleum (FICT actually) departments, being Rector the Ing. Gustavo Galindo. His important development leads to the subscription of two contracts; one of them between the ESPOL y PETROECUADOR, the other by the Partnership ESPOL- operator contractor.

On December 27th of 1994 stayed determinate the specific Service lending contract, between PETROECUADOR y la ESPOL.

In 1995 The ESPOL convoked to the international licitation for selecting to the operator contractor, according to the executive decree number 2186 in October 11th of 1994. The winner was the argentine company of petroleum, ¨Compañia General de Combustible¨ (C.G.C.) and in July 11th of 1996, started the operation of the Consorcio ESPOL – C.G.C. With a daily production of 724.5 barrels; nowadays (2003) the production is hold between 1250 and 1300 barrels.
